This search engine features tourist accommodation.
The tourist accommodation search (càmpings, hotels and guesthouses, rural tourism establishments, holiday apartments and tourist dwellings) also offers information corresponding to tourist accommodation guides. The towns offering accommodation are organised alphabetically under the tourism brands offered by the different territories and according to region.
Home page
Once the Ministry for Business and Knowledge webpage is accessed, an image appears that allows you to directly access the Official Guide to Tourism accommodation.
Main menu
Once it is accessed, the main menu appears with seven tabs: «Campsites», «Hotels», «Rural tourism», «Holiday apartments», «Tourist dwellings», «tourist offices» and «Establishments by territory». The selected tab is marked in red to indicate for which types of establishment the search is being done. You can click on any tab and search for establishments according to type. The 'Establishments by territory' search option allows you to search for tourist accommodation offered in a certain territory.
Search
1. The tourist accommodation search can be made based on the following fields:
- Tourism brand: when a tourism brand is selected, the region and towns are automatically updated, and an accommodation search is performed.
- Region: when a region is selected, the towns are automatically updated, and an accommodation search is performed.
- Town: when a town is selected, an accommodation search is performed automatically.
- Type:
- For campsites, there is no type.
- For holiday apartments, there is no type.
- For hotels, when a type is selected, the categories are automatically updated, and an accommodation search is performed.
- For rural tourism establishments (*), when a type is selected, an accommodation search is performed automatically.
- Category: when a category is selected, an accommodation search is performed automatically.
Advanced search
The advanced accommodation search can be made based on the following fields:
- Name of establishment
- Capacity
- General price
- For campsites, general price is per adult.
- For hotels, general price is for a double room with bath.
- For rural tourism establishments, the general price is for independent weekend accommodation.
- Open season: you can search by dates on which the accommodation is open.
- Symbols: you can search for services and for certifications held by the establishments.
- The search for tourist dwellings is done by address, and in the city of Barcelona, by neighbourhood.

RURAL TOURISM ESTABLISHMENTS
These are tourism establishments located in the rural settings - either in population centres with less than 1,000 inhabitants or isolated - in buildings that predate 1950. Temporary accommodation provided is divided into two types: bedrooms or entire properties.
INDEPENDENT TYPE
Rural tourism establishment that can be rented entirely for private use.
- 'Masoveria'. Rural tourism establishment located outside a town.
- Country house. Rural tourism establishment located within a town.
SHARED TYPE
Owners live on the premises. Guests are offered accommodation and at least breakfast.
- 'Masia'. Rural tourism establishment located outside a town.
- Country house. Rural tourism establishment located within a town.
HOLIDAY APARTMENTS
These are buildings or continuous accommodation units (apartments or studios) which at the very least have a reception service, offered to tourists in exchange for payment.
These accommodation units (apartments or studios) include as a minimum:
Apartments:
- Bedroom or bedrooms with a bed, nightstand and wardrobe or other space in which to keep clothes, with enough room for all users.
- Sitting-dining room with a table and enough armchairs and chairs for all users.
- Open or separate kitchen with place settings, household items and linens in proportion to the number of users.
- The utensils needed to prepare food, a stove with at least two burners, microwave, sink and refrigerator.
- Bathroom.
Studios sleep a maximum of two people. They include:
Com a màxim poden disposar de dues places. Es composen:
- A single space for the bedroom-sitting-dining room-kitchen.
- Sitting-dining room with table, armchairs and chairs.
- The place settings, household items and linens needed to prepare food, a stove with at least two burners, microwave, sink and refrigerator.

TOURIST DWELLINGS
These are ready-to-live-in dwellings rented to third parties for a period of time (less than 31 days). They may be apartments in a housing complex or a house.
Renters may not use the dwelling as their main place of residence or a second home.
Tourist dwellings are rented as a single unit and not by room.
They must have a certificate of occupancy and comply with general technical and quality standards for housing.
They may not be occupied by more places than indicated on the certificate of occupancy.
They must be adequately furnished and have all the appliances and utensils necessary to offer suitable accommodation in relation to the total number of places offered.

- Municipality: when a municipality is selected, the search is automatically performed.

Advanced search
The advanced tourist office search can be made based on the following fields:
- Name of the tourist office
- Registration ID number: registration code on the Tourism Register of Catalonia (p. ex. O-000123)
- Symbols: You can search for services provided by the tourist office
TOURIST GUIDES
You can search for tourist guides from the following fields:
- Languages for which the qualification is available
- Territorial scope of work
Advanced search
You can do advanced search from the following fields:
- Registration number: qualification (eg GT-000001)
- Specialties: subjects in which they are specialists
People qualified as tourism guides in Catalonia are sorted by ascending qualification number.
Soon it will be possible to search by the person's first and/or last name
Page numbers
- You can access the first or last page with the button «first» or «last».
- With the button «previous» and «next», you can access the previous or following five pages.
- Dark red indicates the current page.
- The number of results displayed and the total yielded by the search are shown at the end of the table.
